I am usually pretty cautious about not giving out any information online, but they had posed as Canada Revenue Agency and linked back to the government's website. Moreover, I had just filed my taxes online, so the timing was perfect. I ended up giving out really confidential information, such as my social insurance number. A few days later I started feeling pretty weary about the whole thing and when I went to open the email again, i realized I was a victim of web forgery.
